Facebook Marketplace Car Listing Checklist for Dealerships

A practical vehicle listing checklist for dealership employees: price, mileage, trim, photos, descriptions and the final manual review.

Vehicle details to verify

Confirm year, make, model, trim and body style. Check odometer reading, condition, VIN and stock number against dealership inventory. Only share VIN when appropriate and permitted.

Pricing and availability

Use the current advertised selling price, not an unrelated MSRP, monthly payment or expired offer. Check availability before posting and update or remove listings after a sale. Follow all applicable advertising requirements and Facebook policies.

Photo selection

Prioritize an actual front three-quarter view, side views, interior, dashboard and relevant equipment. Check for duplicate or unrelated photos and disclose notable visible defects where appropriate.

Write a useful description

Summarize verified equipment and vehicle highlights in plain language. Avoid unsupported claims such as accident-free, guaranteed financing or perfect condition. Add the source listing link only where allowed.

Final employee review

Review the Facebook form before submission, including its category, price, location, title, photos and contact information. Keep publishing as an intentional manual step.
